NYC Internship (Spring & Winter)
The purpose of a NYC Internship is to produce young adults prepared for ministry and missions assignments. We desire to do this in a multi-cultural setting through a program designed to promote character development as well as calling and ministry skills in a mentoring environment with urban ministry experiences.
At the UDC you will learn to express God’s love through Christian lifestyle, relationships, service and witness by developing a more dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and a greater sensitivity to the Spirit of God. You will discover how to best share the good news of Jesus in an urban setting and communicate Christ’s love through both word and compassionate service to people. The UDC provides an environment where a life-long commitment to Kingdom service is nurtured.

During your Spring Break Encounter there will be opportunities for ministry including: serving at a breakfast ministry; serving lunch to disadvantaged families at a "love" kitchen; volunteering at a World Vision Storehouse; working with inner-city children during an after-school program; and participating in the AmazinGRace photo prayer walk around the city. There may also be time for some sight-seeing in New York City, as the schedule allows (although this is not a primary reason for you to come). Priority 1 staff will coordinate all opportunities with inner-city host ministries.
